Freedom!!!
We finally got our fence up. It is beautiful. Thanks to Aunt Mel and Uncle Shawn for giving us the fence. We played in it for the first time today. Unfortunately, the freedom wasn't as great as I was expecting it to be. I have built this moment up in my mind for so long that it was a let down.
We went from chasing them all over the place outside, to chasing them all over the yard trying to keep dirt clods out of their mouths. We weren't very successful. The boys liked the dirt. They would have eaten handfuls if we would have let them. Syd tried it once and decided she didn't like it.
Jenna ate some grass, but never tried the dirt. I hadn't thought about the kids trying to eat everything in sight. Before we had the fence they were distracted by the new surroundings.
In the fence they can't explore like they were before so they are trying to occupy their time by eating anything they can. Peyton was so proud of himself. He loves the camera. Landon wasn't as happy with the dirt as Ethan, but that didn't keep him from trying it countless times.

Their first pet!
The kids have their first pet. A horse named brownie. They love her. unfortunately, we don't have enough room upstairs to keep her in the living room. We had to move her to the basement. The kids enjoyed taking turns riding her. As you can see, Sydney wasn't sure what to think. Landon loved brownie.
We went to church yesterday and to a soup dinner and bon fire that evening. The kids loved it. It is nice for us because so many people love our kids we get a break. I could tell this morning that they had eaten some different food than they were used to. Their diapers were some of the best ones yet!! I can't wait for potty training.
We are hopefully going to get a fence up this week sometime. I will post pictures once we get it up.

Happy Easter
I hope everyone had a good Easter. We made it to church on time. The kids went into the nursery for the service. They did pretty good. No one hade a melt down. They were exhausted when we got home. Everyone slept until 4:00. It was a successful day. I looked back at their Easter pictures from last year. Isn't it amazing!!!Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Birthday Party!
I finally have time to update. Things have been very busy lately. We had a great party. Lots of people and lots of cake. The kids did great. They weren't fussy of overwhelmed at all. The neat part was that they knew almost everyone there. There were about 150 family and friends. They got lots of cool stuff from everyone. I am so glad it is over.
The weather has been really nice the last few days. We took the kids out yesterday for just a little bit. They didn't know what to think of the grass. Ethan cried when he touched it. Peyton kept on trying to touch it and shivering. Landon tested it out a few times then crawled out on it. Syd wasn't too sure either. Jenna of course didn't like anything about being outside. Hopefully she will get over that because I am ready to get out of the house.

First Finger Foods Meal
Today I decided to try a variety of finger foods for the kids. They love cheerios so I thought they could handle some other things. I bought some of the Gerber chicken links and some carrots. I cut up some banana and mandarin oranges. They did pretty good for the first time. They definitely have figured out how to pick things up and put them in their mouths. I couldn't believe how messy they were. The floor was pretty dirty after they were done. I'm going to have to put mats down under their chairs. It was fun. We got some babyfood out after they were done with their plates. I think we forgot what we were doing because Sydney got ahold of the green beans and dumped them everywhere on the table. We got that cleaned up and were going to get some bibs out when Landon and Ethan reached the applesauce and smeared it everywhere. You would have thought it was our first time feeding them. By the end of the feeding we had made the biggest mess ever. The kids enjoyed it and that made it less stressful. Things are going good. A week and a half till party time!
