The REAL Party!
Happy Birthday my big kids. It seems like only a little while ago you couldn't hold your heads up. Now you are leaping off tall objects and running around like a family of monkeys. You are so precious to me. Yes, I want to pull my hair out most everyday, but you are so special! I hope you know that. God has blessed so many people with your lives already, I can't wait to see what he has in store for each of you. I love you! ~Mommy~

Happy 3rd Birthday!
Boy! What a crazy week! We started off on the 13th with a thrown together party. I couldn't decide if we should have a party with all our friends and family or not this year. We had a party today and so I just wasn't sure what I wanted to do. The excitement of their birthday got the better of me and I couldn't help myself. So, at 10:00 that morning I started making calls to people. We didn't want any gifts, just cake and ice cream and some fun. I got the decorations up and bought the cake. By the way, cakes are outrageous! $24 for a medium sized cake. I couldn't believe it. Rob thought it wasn't enough cake and I was certain it would be plenty. After all, the party was such short notice I didn't expect too many to show.
Boy did I underestimate that! The house was PACKED! Everyone came and brought gifts. I couldn't believe it. The kids ate it up, they loved getting to blow out candles and opening all their gifts. The decorations were great and the party was a hit. Except for the fact that I needed about double the cake that I had gotten. Sorry to anyone who didn't get any! Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated with us. It was great!
On their actual birthday I didn't have anything special planned. But when they got up I went in their rooms and told them Happy Birthday. Ethan leaped out of bed and ran into the living room like he was expecting a huge gift waiting for him in the living room. I think he remembered Christmas and thought for sure this was going to be even better than that! Poor guy, there wasn't anything waiting for him. But, the day was packed full of special little things. They had a great day and were looking forward to the big party on Saturday.

Fun Time Before Bed Time!
This was one rare evening of peace. The kids were all getting along and having a good time. So, I decided to get the camera out an snap a few pictures. They are getting so big!

Syd's Artistic Side
I don't know what I am going to do with her. That girl would find the only writing utensil in a one mile radius. We have hid the crayons and she finds chalk. Somehow they found an ink pen downstairs, or maybe they found it upstairs and took it down, and wrote all over themselves. I find stacks of junk piled up next to the counters or cabinet where they have climbed to look for things. They are getting into all kinds of stuff. It's crazy!
We have to make sure all medicine, knives, keys, phones, money, etc. is hidden where they can't get it. They love chap stick. I can't keep one for me. My goodness! I feel like they have jumped at least one step ahead of me and I am struggling to keep up. I need to do another round of kid proofing.
All is well in the Wright household. We have braved the flu season so far and haven't been hit too hard. I can't believe they will be 3 in two weeks! Wow! I look back and can't believe how far we have come! I don't want to get all mushy now, I'll leave that to a post coming up. What a cliffhanger!
