Mommy's Mistake!

Everyday after the kids get up from their nap I give them a snack. I had to get their bottles ready the other day and left the Cheerios in the recliner. When I came back into the living room I saw the mess. Luckily it was just cereal. They are so funny. Everyone is starting to figure out ways around the boundaries. They have a big ball that they balance on and try to climb on top of the couch. Syd had knocked the riding train over today and was sitting on it while the others were on the floor trying to get to her. I don't know what they will come up with next.

Happy Easter

I hope everyone had a good Easter. We made it to church on time. The kids went into the nursery for the service. They did pretty good. No one hade a melt down. They were exhausted when we got home. Everyone slept until 4:00. It was a successful day. I looked back at their Easter pictures from last year. Isn't it amazing!!!

Lunch Time

Lunch is a very exciting time in our house as you can see. It is where the kids really get silly and enjoy each other. They talk and play and steal food. For the most part they love it. I open the gate and say "come on" and they crawl as fast as they can to the table. Usually someone gets squeezed out or trampled, but in the end everyone makes it to the table in one piece. Landon is the first one to fall asleep at the table. Poor guy, he missed his nap that morning and just couldn't push through the entire meal. He ate all his food, but I went into the kitchen to get a rag and when I got back he was asleep. It happened that fast. He did try to wake up, but in the end he couldn't wait until nap time. I left him until last to wipe off and get down. I cleaned him up, forced his mouth open to take his bottle, and changed his diaper, and he didn't wake up at all. He was one worn out pup. It was so cute though. Those are the moments that stick out that are the most precious. Oh yeah, Syd took her first steps today. She is more stable than Ethan, but enjoys the free fall into our arms at the end. They are getting so big.

First Steps!

It finally happened. Yesterday Ethan took his first steps. He is so big. It was funny, he took two steps for me but Ethan wouldn't even stand up for Rob. Ethan wanted me, so he kept twisting his body to get to me. Finally he stepped to Rob. It is so exciting. He just did it out of the blue. Sydney will be next. Ethan wouldn't do it for me this morning. Hopefully he will keep trying. They are so funny. It is so neat to sit in a chair unnoticed and just watch them interact with each other. They are really very comical. Here is a video of him walking.

Same Old Thing

Things are going good here. Ethan is so close to walking. He is really good at standing, but he won't take a step. Syd is getting close too. Landon will stand, and he can sit on his own, but he only does it when it is his idea. He won't stand when you try to let go of him. Peyton is still a chicken. He isn't brave enough to let go of anything. In fact, he holds on for dear life when you pick him up. Jenna is still the same. We are working on getting her more active. All-in-all, they are doing great. I can't wait for the weather to change.

Birthday Party!

I finally have time to update. Things have been very busy lately. We had a great party. Lots of people and lots of cake. The kids did great. They weren't fussy of overwhelmed at all. The neat part was that they knew almost everyone there. There were about 150 family and friends. They got lots of cool stuff from everyone. I am so glad it is over.

The weather has been really nice the last few days. We took the kids out yesterday for just a little bit. They didn't know what to think of the grass. Ethan cried when he touched it. Peyton kept on trying to touch it and shivering. Landon tested it out a few times then crawled out on it. Syd wasn't too sure either. Jenna of course didn't like anything about being outside. Hopefully she will get over that because I am ready to get out of the house.
