Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We made it through our first holiday season. We had a pretty busy couple of weeks. Christmas Eve we had all the family over to see the kids and hang out. There was an article in the Clarion that day too. Here is the link to that story.

Channel 14 also came on Christmas Eve and did a story on us. Everyone was doing fine then. By Christmas morning Sydney and Ethan were sick with the stomach flu. By that evening Peyton and Landon were throwing up too. We dealt with that plus awful slimy nasty diapers for about 2-3 days. On Thursday evening Rob came home from work sick and then I was sick by bedtime. We both had it bad for about 24 hours. We are finally over the sickness and working to get back to normal. Thanks to everyone who came to our rescue while we were sick.
Everyone, besides Jenna, is really getting around. Yesterday I was sitting on the edge of the recliner cutting Landon's fingernails. Peyton and Sydney were behind the chair playing with a toy. Next thing I heard was Sydney screaming. She had crawled all the way under the recliner. When I stood up the chair went back some and trapped her. I had to pick up the chair to drag her out. The chaos has officially started. We have baby-proofed the living room as much as we can, but amazingly they always find a way to get into trouble. It is fun, but I am surprised at how hard it is to make sure everything is safe.

New Years Eve wasn't very eventful. After the kids went to bed we watched a little TV and went to bed about 9:30. Peyton has been getting up between 3:30 and 4:00am every morning. He is the one of the five who has trouble with his teeth. He runs a fever and cries out through the night. It has been rough lately at night. So, we opted to go to bed early rather than stay up and be grouchy in the morning. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year!

This is what Ethan looks like when he wakes up from his nap. I don't know how he does it.

I LOVE THESE KIDS! I'm not completely convinced I would like my own as much as I love my nieces and nephews.
